Innovative Colours ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to handling your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it and how we look after it.
1. What we collect
When you request a free site visit through our website, we collect:
- Your name, mobile number, email address and suburb
- The service you're interested in and the size of your project
- Technical information such as your IP address, browser user-agent and the page you submitted from — used solely for security, fraud prevention and to keep our records accurate
We do not collect sensitive information (health, race, religion, political views, etc.). We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
2. Why we collect it
- To call you back within two business hours and arrange a site visit
- To prepare and deliver a written quote
- To follow up on your enquiry and provide ongoing customer service
- To meet our record-keeping obligations as a licensed Australian business
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the third-party services we use to operate the website and respond to you:
- Resend — to deliver lead notification emails to our team
- Replit — secure hosting of the website and database
- Google Ads — anonymised conversion tracking so we can measure which ads send genuine enquiries (no personal details are shared with Google through our conversion tag)
4. Cookies and tracking
We use a small number of first-party cookies for essential site function and the Google Tag (gtag.js) for ad performance measurement. You can disable cookies in your browser at any time — the site will still work. We do not use cross-site profiling cookies for advertising.
5. How we protect your information
Your data is transmitted over HTTPS, stored in an encrypted Postgres database hosted in Australia, and access is limited to authorised personnel only. We retain enquiry records for as long as necessary to provide our service and to meet our legal obligations (typically 7 years for tax purposes).
6. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Confirm what information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your information (subject to our legal record-keeping requirements)
- Opt out of any further contact

7. Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, contact us first. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
